Every B1 discussion weighs both sides. The core words, with article and plural:
- der Vorteil, -e (the advantage) — Der Vorteil ist, dass …
- der Nachteil, -e (the disadvantage) — Ein Nachteil ist, dass …
- die Gefahr, -en (the danger, the risk)
- das Argument, -e (the argument)
Trap: after Der Vorteil ist, dass the verb goes to the end: it’s a dass-clause.

In a Leserbrief, dafür means pro and dagegen means contra: Ich bin dafür. Ich bin dagegen.
