Eine Reise planen
Before a trip you decide where to stay and how to get there. The words that carry it:
- die Unterkunft, -“e — the accommodation
- die Ferienwohnung, -en — the vacation rental
- die Buchung, -en — the booking; buchen — to book
- die Anreise / die Abreise — arrival / departure
- die Verbindung, -en — the (train or bus) connection
Trap: die Unterkunft takes an umlaut in the plural: die Unterkünfte.
Tipp
In hotel German, Anreise and Abreise are the days you arrive and leave: Anreise am Freitag, Abreise am Sonntag. The trip as a whole is die Reise.
