innerhalb & außerhalb + Genitiv

innerhalb (inside, within) and außerhalb (outside) take the Genitiv from Unit 2, for places and for time:

• außerhalb der Stadt — outside the city
• innerhalb des Stadtzentrums — within the city center
• innerhalb einer Woche — within a week

Trap: außerhalb is not außer: außer means “except” and takes the Dativ.
