Kultur & Freizeit
Concerts, exhibitions, clubs: free time is a big B1 theme, from event ads in Lesen to radio tips in Hören. The words that carry it:
- das Konzert, -e — the concert
- die Ausstellung, -en — the exhibition
- die Veranstaltung, -en — the event
- der Verein, -e — the club (sports, music, hobbies)
- das Mitglied, -er — the member
Trap: Eintritt frei means admission is free, not that the entrance is open.
Tipp
Event ads use short forms: Beginn 20 Uhr (starts at 8), Einlass ab 19 Uhr (doors open at 7), Eintritt frei, Anmeldung erforderlich (registration required).
