stieg, fiel, wuchs: Zahlen in der Zeitung

Press texts love numbers, and numbers go up and down:

• steigen – stieg – ist gestiegen — to rise
• fallen – fiel – ist gefallen and sinken – sank – ist gesunken — to fall, to drop
• wachsen – wuchs – ist gewachsen — to grow

All four take sein in the Perfekt, and the amount follows um: um zehn Prozent.
