Nachbarn & Konflikte
Living close together means rules, and sometimes trouble. The words you need:
- der Lärm (no plural) — noise
- die Ruhezeit, -en — quiet hours; die Mittagsruhe, die Nachtruhe
- stören — to bother: Die Musik stört mich.
- sich beschweren über + Akkusativ — to complain about
Trap: stören takes the Akkusativ: Das stört mich, not mir.
Tip
Quiet hours come from the Hausordnung or local rules. Nachtruhe from 22 Uhr is common, but check your own Hausordnung for the exact times.
