werden: Zukunft oder werden?

werden has two jobs, and B1 texts use both:

• werden + infinitive = Futur: Ich werde Medizin studieren. (I will study medicine.)
• werden + noun or adjective = to become: Ich werde Ärztin. (I’m going to be a doctor.)

The trap: English “I will” is not ich will — ich will means I want.
