Nachfragen, zustimmen, widersprechen

An opinion is only half of a discussion. You also ask for and react to other opinions:

• asking: Was hältst du von …? / Wie siehst du das?
• agreeing: Da hast du recht. / Ich bin ganz deiner Meinung. / Da stimme ich dir zu.
• disagreeing: Das sehe ich anders. / Da bin ich anderer Meinung.

Trap: zustimmen takes the dative: Ich stimme dir zu, not “dich”.
