Unit 06 · Travel and transport

Travel is a core B1 theme: station announcements in Hören, a guided tour in Hören Teil 2, planning an outing with your partner in Sprechen Teil 1. Unit 6 takes you from the booking through the hotel and the city to the trip home.

• planning and booking: die Unterkunft, die Buchung, stornieren, die Verbindung
• the Passiv with modal verbs and in the Präteritum: muss reserviert werden, wurde gebaut
• complaining politely at the hotel
• indirekte Fragen with ob, wann, wo
• B1 place prepositions: gegenüber, entlang, an … vorbei, außerhalb

Checkpoint: the last lesson practices Sprechen Teil 1 (planning something together) and Hören Teil 2 (a guided tour, heard once) of the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 and the ÖSD Zertifikat B1 (ZB1).
