werden: drei Jobs

werden does three jobs, and B1 texts mix them:

• on its own = to become: Die Wohnung wird teurer.
• • Infinitiv = Futur I (Unit 1): Wir werden im Mai umziehen.
• • Partizip II = Passiv: Die Wohnung wird renoviert.

Look at the end of the sentence: an infinitive, a Partizip II, or neither? Trap: bekommen means “to get”, never “to become”.
