was & wo: erkennen

Two more relative words you’ll read in B1 texts. For now, just recognize them; Unit 8 practises them actively:

• was after alles, nichts, etwas: Alles, was im Mietvertrag steht, ist wichtig.
• wo after a place: Graz, wo auch meine Eltern wohnen

Trap: this was has nothing to do with English “was”. It means “that” or “what”.
