Formelle E-Mail an die Kursleitung
Writing to your course leader or a school is formal: Sie, a formal greeting and a closing formula. A short formal e-mail usually has four parts:
- greeting: Sehr geehrte Frau Keller, / Sehr geehrter Herr Braun,
- why you’re writing: ich schreibe Ihnen, weil …
- your request or apology, with a reason
- a friendly last line: Ich freue mich auf Ihre Antwort.
- closing: Mit freundlichen Grüßen (no comma) and your name on the next line
If you don’t know the name: Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
