Schreiben: 60 minutes, three Aufgaben, 100 points:
- Aufgabe 1 — an informal e-mail to a friend, circa 80 Wörter, about 20 minutes, 40 points
- Aufgabe 2 — a Forumsbeitrag with your opinion, circa 80 Wörter, about 25 minutes, 40 points
- Aufgabe 3 — a formal e-mail, circa 40 Wörter, about 15 minutes, 20 points
Two raters score each text independently on four criteria — Erfüllung, Kohärenz, Wortschatz, Strukturen — and your score is their average.

Tip
Rule of thumb, not an exam rule: eight to ten short sentences come to about 80 words, four or five to about 40. A rough count is enough.
